BTCI is an effort to bring conservative evangelical seminary training to pastors and leaders in the field where they do not have access to a biblical seminary, enabling them to have the tools they need to study God’s word, to apply it well, and prepare to preach and teach it to others.

Course 2: Old Testament Survey Spring 2027 Instructor - Walt Huddell
A broad overview and survey of the Old Testament, designed to emphasize the structure, theme, and message of the Old Testament.
Course 4: Bible Doctrine Survey Spring 2028 Instructor - Walt Huddell
A survey and summary of the ten major doctrines of the Bible with an emphasis on the pastor or church leader knowing God more fully while understanding and practicing sound theology.
Course 1: Bible Study methods and rules of interpretation. Fall 2026 Instructor - Pastor Joe Jacobson
This course focuses on hermeneutics (the process by which we interpret what we read in Scripture), learning methods that help us to ensure an accurate understanding of what Scripture says, what it means, and its application.
Course 3: New Testament Survey Fall 2027 Instructor - Pastor Perry Messick
An overview survey of the New Testament focusing on the theme, purpose, structure and basic content of each individual book and relating each book to the whole Bible.
Course 5: Personal Spiritual Life Fall 2028 Instructor - Pastor Joe Jacobson
This course is designed to teach pastors and church leaders the basic concepts and principles of the spiritual life so that they can personally grow to spiritual maturity and live a life that is pleasing to God.
Instructors
Walt Huddell has filled the pulpit and taught Bible School at AUC for many years, and has also served as an Elder. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and Physics in 1993. He then went on to complete an MS in Mathematics from West Chester University in 1995 and the MS and PhD in Mathematics from Bryn Mawr in 2002. He serves as a Professor of Mathematics at Eastern University and also teaches some Computer Science and Philosophy as well as teaching in an appointment in the Templeton Honors College. He has been married to his wife Alicyn since 1992 and has twin daughters Amy and Amber.
Pastor Joe Jacobson received his Bachelor of Music From Chapman University followed by an MA from Talbot School of Theology at Biola University in 2000. Pastor Joe has been in ministry for 30 years, serving as a youth pastor, worship pastor, family pastor, associate pastor and senior pastor. In 2017 he moved from California with his wife, Pam, and their son, Elijah, to serve at AUC as the senior pastor.
Pastor Perry Messick attended The Pennsylvania State University and received his Bachelor's degree in 1980. He would then complete his MDiv studies at The Conservative Baptist Seminary of the East. He also spent a semester at The Institute of Holy Land Studies in Jerusalem. He would serve on the staff of First Baptist Church of Collingdale for 42 years, retiring as Senior Pastor in June 2025. He and his wife Debbie are now a part of the church Family at Aldan Union.
