Welcome to AUC’s Parent Pages for the New City Catechism Curriculum! Here you’ll find lots of good aids as you and your kids work though this year’s curriculum together. Each week everyone from 3 years old through high school seniors will be learning the same topic. Below you’ll find good info and resources to help you:
-Ask good questions of your kids and teens about what they’re learning.
-Keep the discussion going beyond the Bible school hour
-Teach your kids and teens more about how amazing the holy God of the universe really is.

Question #35: Since we are redeemed, by grace alone, through faith alone, where does this faith come from?
Answer #35: From the Holy Spirit.
Verse of the Week: “But when the goodness and loving kindness of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out on us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior.” Titus 3:4-6

What are some ways that the Holy Spirit helps believers? For kids, you can review the worksheet you did in class.
How do you feel knowing that as believers the Holy Spirit lives within you? How can that encourage us to share Christ with others?
Last week you read Galatians 5:22-23 and evaluated what good fruits you already show and what fruits you need to improve. Did you show any of the good fruits you needed to work on this week? How can you show them this coming week?

Answer #34: Yes, so that our lives may show love and gratitude to God; and so that by our godly behavior others may be won to Christ.
